I am a Caddoan woman and a lifetime Oklahoma resident that grew up in the small, rural township, Bridge Creek. Growing up in a close-knit community under the indigenous guidance of my family and ancestors instilled in me a deep value for connection, mother earth, family, and friends.
I love watching baseball (Go Dodgers!) with my partner, visiting local coffee shops with my friends, sharing meals with my family, and playing outside with my nephew.
Nature has always been a place of safety and refreshment for me; I enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, walking my dogs, sitting on the porch swing with a cup of coffee, and traveling to National Parks.
I love to bake, and have found that kneading dough brings me to a meditative space in which I find peace, calm, and quietness.
Professionally, I have worked in community outreach programming focused on underage substance use prevention, managed a small medical practice, worked as a behavioral health consultant in a local free medical clinical, served as the program coordinator for a local mental health non-profit treatment center, and am currently the Assistant Clinical Director at A Chance to Change. My array of professional experiences have given me an understanding of the ways in which people are individuals and simultaneously inextricable parts of the systems and spaces they are in. This understanding gives me a unique approach to therapy, prioritizing assessing how a client's individuality is impacted, both in supportive and disruptive ways, by those systems and spaces.
